A Quiet Place was written in 1967 but it was the 1988 recording, by American a cappella group, Take 6, that has gone on to become the most well loved version. This arrangement, for brass band quartet, is based on that recording. In order to bring this beautiful setting of Ralph Carmichael's music & lyrics to life, sensitive phrasing and legato playing is paramount.
This quartet is scored for two B flat cornets or flugelhorns, E flat tenor horn and B flat Euphonium.
